(Bootlegs - illegal reproductions of music)

Beware of purchasing 'boots' on the net, especially on-line auctions such as Ebay. Sellers will try and convince you that these are not CDRs (home-cut copies), and most are falsely advertised as legitimate 'factory-sealed' CDs -  found in some local record bin)

It's easy to make a boot CDR, shrink-rap it with a colour photocopy cover - so it looks like a legit recording. Most boots are not only crappy quality,  but overpriced. Worst of all, it's theft of the artist's hard work. This page is provided so fans will be able to tell which is legit material and which are 'boots'.
